What we do
nova8 Technologies builds systems for automation and autonomy, and keeps them running. We design, build, and operate systems that have to keep working: on edge hardware far from a data center, inside the business systems a company runs on, and in the software that has carried a business for years.

Edge devices run where the work happens, often with limited bandwidth, intermittent connectivity, and nobody on site who can open a terminal. They have to boot quickly, update safely, and recover by themselves.
This is where most of our product work lives. We build nova8OS, our container foundation platform and immutable edge operating system, along with the imaging and media tools that put it on hardware and bring it back when something fails.
We also build the provisioning, onboarding, and fleet tooling that takes a device from a box on a shelf to a managed host in production, and the update and rollback paths that keep it there. Because we write the operating system, we can follow a problem from the boot chain up to the application without handing it off.
What this includes
Every business runs on software that should fit the way it actually works: records and workflows, scheduling, customer communication, reporting, and the website customers see first.
We build that software to order. We start by learning how the work is done today, where the time goes, and what must never stop. Then we build the system around that work instead of bending the business around a generic product.
The same availability standard applies here as at the edge. Business systems get backups, monitoring, recovery plans, and a team that keeps them current, so the people who depend on them can stop thinking about the software and get on with their day.
What this includes
A lot of important software is not new. It has carried a business for years, it works, and it has become hard to change, host, or secure.
We take that software over. We document how it works, move it onto dependable infrastructure, close security gaps, add backups and monitoring, and then operate it. We would rather make a proven system dependable than replace it for the sake of it.
When a rewrite is the right answer, we plan it in stages so the business keeps working during the move. Either way, the result is software that is easier to run than it was when we found it, with a team accountable for keeping it up.
What this includes
No two engagements are the same, so we do not sell packages. Every engagement is scoped on its own terms, and we agree on the details before any work begins.
01Tell us what the software needs to do and what must never stop. You talk directly with the engineers who would do the work, not an account layer.
02We write down the scope, deliverables, schedule, who owns the result, and who operates it afterward. Nothing starts until both sides agree.
03We build in small, working increments you can see and use, with recovery, rollback, and monitoring included from the first release.
04When it ships, we operate it, hand it to your team with documentation, or share the work, as agreed. Whichever it is, it stays up.
