Container Foundation Platform
An immutable operating system and its Cloud Platform, managed from the first boot, from far edge to data centers. Run your containers, VMs, and your choice of orchestrator on top.
The usual edge stack is assembled from parts: buy an operating system, then a management tool, then a way to reach the device remotely. nova8OS ships them as one.

Traditional OS
One operator, one machine
Someone plugs in a keyboard, a screen, and a mouse, installs the operating system, then adds a management agent and a remote-access tool, each with its own setup and license.
nova8OS
One operator, every machine
The same desk, the same keyboard, screen, and mouse, reaching systems that have none of their own. Each device is claimed into the Cloud Platform during onboarding, from a phone or a browser, and from then on it is reachable over the internet: remote terminal, remote desktop, updates, and health, for one device or the whole fleet.
nova8OS takes cost out of the edge: fewer tools to license, less to defend, no trips to the field.
Fewer tools to license
One platform replaces the stack: OS, management, remote access, updates, and most host security.
The Cloud Platform is included from the first boot, with remote terminal and remote desktop.
Less to defend
Spend on prevention, not detection. There's almost nothing on the device to attack.
No shell, no package manager, a single signed image, and a RAM-only root.
Updates that can't take down the fleet
Every update is atomic, with automatic rollback.
Atomic image updates and no third-party kernel agents.
No trips to the field
Recover, update, and support devices without a site visit.
Managed from the first boot, over the internet.
Every device identical
No configuration drift, so audits get smaller and incidents get rarer.
An immutable image plus fleet policy.
Ready for post-quantum rules
Post-quantum cryptography ships today.
ML-KEM and ML-DSA, standardized in NIST FIPS 203 and 204.
Remember July 2024?
A faulty update to a kernel-level security agent took down about 8.5 million Windows machines, many of which had to be recovered by hand. A security agent update can't take down a nova8OS fleet: there's no third-party kernel agent, and every update is atomic with automatic rollback.
Designed so most devices don't need a host security agent. If policy requires one, it runs as a container, not in the kernel.
Examples, not limits: nova8OS runs wherever containers run.
